Criminal FAQ Answer to: How can I get a Rehabilitation and Pardon certificate?

Applications for Rehab and Pardon can be obtained from either:

• the Public Defender's Office (click for the Public Defender's Office website in Santa Clara County)
  
  OR
   
  

• any of the Superior Court criminal facility Clerk's Offices (for a list of  these facilities and their locations in Santa Clara County, see the "Viewing and Copying of Public Records" page)

AND should be filed in the county where you reside, not where the conviction occurred.

If appointed to do so, the Public Defender in the county where you reside will represent you during the hearing. If you reside in Santa Clara County, you can call the Public Defender's Office at (408) 299-7700.
